AIA Australia’s chief group insurance officer Natalie Cameron will cross the Tasman to take the top job at AIA’s New Zealand business.
Ms Cameron will start in her new role on 8 June 2015, replacing outgoing AIA New Zealand chief executive Wayne Besant, who will now head up AIA Vietnam.
The current head of group distribution, Stephanie Phillips, will be chief group insurance officer role while a permanent replacement is sought.
Since joining AIA Australia in 2005, Ms Cameron has held a number of roles including general counsel, company secretary and subsequently chief operating officer. In 2014, Ms Cameron took on the role of chief group insurance officer.
Commenting on her appointment, AIA Australia chief executive Damien Mu said the appointment is a “great reflection” of the company’s leaders and the relationships between Australia and New Zealand.
